Finding a perfect match at Swanson’s nursery, Tamara enjoyed 14 years as Marketing Director. Then, feeling a longing to deepen the meaning of her career and inspired by her children, Tamara pursued a long-held desire to become a teacher through Sound Circle Center, a Waldorf Teacher Training program.

Janna is a Northwest native who joined us in the fall of 2017. She is a recent graduate of Bastyr University’s BS Nutrition & Culinary Arts program, and comes from a family rich in early childhood experience: both her mom and sister having work(ed) in EC programs. Incorporating her love of food, nutrition, community and farming, she also owns and operates a small catering company that focuses on local, seasonal foods specializing in dietary restrictions. When she is not in the kitchen, Janna loves to be outside hiking, or forging for wild mushrooms and herbs to be used to make herbal medicines.
